Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Gary.
While you won’t typically find
Character experiences at
Disney Springs, there are quite a few opportunities to meet Characters outside of the
Theme Parks at
Walt Disney World Resort.
One of my family’s favorite ways to interact with Characters at Walt Disney World Resort is through
Character dining experiences at select
Walt Disney World Resort hotels. We especially love meeting Mickey, Pluto, Lilo and Stitch at
‘Ohana at
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, and our new favorite is
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White (which also includes the Evil Queen, Dopey and Grumpy) at
Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. You’ll also find Character dining experiences at
Disney’s Contemporary Resort’s
Chef Mickey’s and
Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa’s
1900 Park Fare. There’s also a fabulous Character experience during the Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast at Disney’s Boardwalk’s
Trattoria al Forno (another of my family’s favorites).
As a Guest at an official Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you’ll also often find Characters roaming around. I’ve met Winnie the Pooh at both Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Resort, and have also encountered Mary Poppins, Chip 'n’ Dale, Goofy and Donald Duck at each of these hotels, too. They typically aren’t scheduled appearances, but it’s fun to run into them when they pop by for a visit!
Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for your regarding Characters at Walt Disney World Resort or any other facet of a Walt Disney World Resort vacation, Gary. We always love helping Guests maximize their Magic!
