Greetings, fellow South Carolinian, Cory! Welcome to our 'Ohana (family) at
planDisney!
One of my favorite experiences at Walt Disney World was dining at
'Ohana with my mom and kids. My mom had not been to Walt Disney World since 1976, so imagine her surprise at how much had changed! She was in awe of the beautiful theming of the restaurant inside
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort! The carved wood, tikis, and beautiful greenery make for an absolutely gorgeous setting for a meal.
At the current time, 'Ohana is not offering character dining experiences. Whereas previously Lilo, Stitch, Mickey, and Pluto made an appearance at this all-you-care-to-eat dining experience, there is currently a pause in character dining at this location. As you may be aware, Walt Disney World has made some adjustments as they reopen the parks and resorts to ensure the safety of all Guests. Unfortunately, character dining at 'Ohana has not quite yet returned due to these enhanced safety protocols. However, you can still enjoy the delicious breakfast at this location! The freshly made pineapple-coconut bread is delectable! The fresh fruit, juice, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits, and of course Mickey Waffles, make this breakfast my favorite in all of Walt Disney World.
If you have your heart set on character dining, I encourage you to check out
Tusker House Restaurant in Animal Kingdom,
Garden Grill in Epcot, or
Chef Mickey's at The Contemporary Resort. Make an
Advanced Dining Reservation at any of these locations for an opportunity to have a delicious meal and meet the Disney characters!
Additionally, for more information on how Walt Disney World is
returning to a world of magic, check out the latest health and safety protocols guide.
I hope you have a magical vacation!
Magically,
Stacy
