Hiya Cyndi,
Thanks for stopping back at planDisney. I was so excited to see character meet and greets return earlier this year, but even better was the return of hugs and autographs by the Disney pals. After all, what is a
Walt Disney World Resort vacation without a huge hug from Mickey Mouse or an autograph from everyone's favorite alien, Stich?
You will be happy to hEAR that Disney characters are not restricted to signing only the autograph books sold at the theme parks and
Disney Springs. Characters are actually able to sign most items, with a few restrictions. They are not able to sign anything that a Guest is currently wearing and any item of clothing that is given to them should be clean. Additionally, they would not be able to sign anything offensive or dangerous. Additionally, you will want to make sure the item has plenty of space for a signature and can be easily signed. For example, Pluto has some fairly large paws so it might be difficult for him to add his paw print on an item that is small or has a surface that is hard to write on.
Over the years, some of our favorite autograph items have included backpacks, pennants, a photo mat board (a great frame for your favorite character and family photo)and the biggest hit was a Disney coloring book. A great way to help pass time, while waiting for our meal, parade or show was for the boys to color the various character pages. Plus, they loved how excited the Disney pals would get when signing a page that they had recently colored. It is still one of their favorite childhood keepsakes.
I hope this helps you find the perfect way to collect all your autographs. If I can help with any additional questions, please stop back and
see me.
T-T-F-N (Ta-Ta for now),
Margaret
