Are there any character meals with Alice in Wonderland?

    Hi Amanda!

From one Marylander to another, let me be the first to welcome you to planDisney!  I'm so glad you stopped by with a great question.  Meeting characters is a highlight of any visit to Walt Disney World Resort for my kids. . .and for me too!

Amanda, while appearances are always subject to change, unfortunately, Alice is not greeting guests at any of the character meals at this time.  While I know this may not be the news you were hoping for, hopefully won't have to go all the way to Wonderland to find her. Currently, you can follow the White Rabbit over to the UK Pavillion at EPCOT where you'll find Alice taking a quick break from her tea party with the Mad Hatter and friends to say hi to guests!  Her scheduled meeting times are available on the Walt Disney World Resort website.  If you don't see meeting times for your selected dates, I recommend trying closer to your trip.  Generally, schedules are released about 60 days out, but sometimes character greetings may be released or modified closer to the actual date.  When you arrive, check the garden area across from the Rose & Crown Dining Room for her appearances.  You'll find lines often form for meeting characters in the parks who have a set schedule.  I suggest arriving 10-15 minutes before her scheduled meeting time so you don't find yourself saying that you're late for this very important date!

When you're in the parks, you can use your My Disney Experience Mobile App to find character meet-and-greet times available that day.  Simply click on the location icon at the bottom of your app which will open up a map of the park.  If you have location services enabled, it should recognize your spot and show you everything that is nearby.  At the top, you can change the dropdown from the default of "Wait Times" to "Characters."  Then, you can click the icons on the map to see who is nearby or select "Show List" at the top of the screen which will open up a complete list of characters meeting that day.  When you click on the character, you'll be able to find out more about when and where they are meeting!

Whether you're meeting characters at meals or in the parks, you may be able to grab an autograph from them.  Autograph books and pens are available for sale around Walt Disney World Resort which make cute keepsakes or you can bring something from home.  Two of my favorite things to have characters sign are a photo mat or a small Disney storybook.  I like having their signature as a special touch on something we see or use frequently around the house to add a little pinch of pixie dust to each day.  Just keep in mind that you'll be carrying whatever autograph item you bring during your day so I like to keep it small and ensure that it fits comfortably inside my bag for the park.  You also may find characters at some locations provide a pre-signed card instead of signing autographs while meeting.

Amanda, I hope you have a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort!  Please feel free to stop by again if you have any other vacation planning questions in the future!

    Cheers!
    Kristi
