Bonjour Heidi,
It is with deepest pride and greatest pleasure that I welcome you to planDisney today. I'm glad to answer your question because as a self-proclaimed foodie, Disney dining is one of my favorite topics to write about. Now that you're my guest, I invite you to relax and pull up a chair while I proudly present your answer.
You'll be glad to know that you're free to dine at many delicious restaurants across Walt Disney World Resort without a theme park ticket. In fact, my favorite Character Dining experience on property isn't located in a theme park at all, but instead at
Topolino's Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera on the top floor of Disney's Riviera Resort. While I do strongly recommend making
advance dining reservations for this meal, you won't need to be a guest of the resort in order to enjoy a delicious breakfast alongside Mickey and his pals. They are dressed in their artfully-inspired best and are sure to dazzle as they dance around the gorgeous venue. I love the Quiche Gruyère and the Sour Cream Waffles, but my kids are big fans of the Mickey Waffle Dippers and the adorable paint bucket filled with bite-sized pastries.
You can also enjoy a Character meal at
Chef Mickey's at Disney's Contemporary Resort, Minnie's Beach Bash Breakfast at
Cape May Cafe,
Story Book Dining at Artist Point with Snow White at Disney's Wilderness Lodge, or
'Ohana Best Friends Breakfast featuring Lilo & Stitch as a guest of another resort or even if you are staying off-site. Keep in mind that
Disney Resorts Collection hotel guests are able to make advance dining reservations 60 days in advance for their length of stay, up to 10 days, while guests of off-site resorts can make them day-by-day at the 60-day mark. There are so many fantastic menu items available across all of Walt Disney World Resort I just know you'll be impressed by the culinary cabaret even if you don't end up ordering beef ragout, cheese souffle, or pie and pudding en flambe.
Now Heidi, before you tie your napkin 'round your neck I do want to mention one more thing.
Walt Disney World Bus Service is complimentary between the theme parks and resorts, but direct bus service is not available from resort to resort. If you'll be staying at one of the Value Resorts and hoping to utilize the complimentary transportation you can use the
My Disney Experience Mobile App to help you navigate the options available. Simply search your desired location using the magnifying glass icon along the bottom of the app (second from right) then click "Get Directions" to input your starting point and see the list of transit options. You can also utilize the paid
Disney Minnie Van Service to quickly get you from point A to B nearly anywhere on property.
I hope this helps Heidi. If we can answer any additional questions please come back and be our guest again!
Bon appétit,
Amy
