For a character dining experience is a reservation required?

    Hi Diane,

I love Disney character meals. I had breakfast yesterday at the Crystal Palace in the Magic Kingdom and loved having Pooh, Piglet, Eeyore, and Tigger stop by my table during my meal. Such a fun way to start the day!

Reservations are very strongly encourage for character dining. The reservation window opens 180 days in advance and some meals become fully booked almost immediately. Some seatings do take a bit longer to fill, and you may possibly encounter a cancellation, but for the most part all the reservation slots will be taken in advance. There are no tables set aside for walk-up guests, so if you want to be assured of dining with characters, then you should plan to make a reservation.

You can do this over the phone by calling 407-WDW-DINE or online at DisneyWorld.com under the "Things to Do" tab.

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know what else we can do to help.
