Hi Erik! Thanks for dropping by planDisney.
Character Dining is my favorite way to interact with my favorite Characters. It's relaxing, since you're enjoying a yummy meal and don't have to queue up to meet the Characters. There are several choices for Character Dining Experiences both inside the parks and in the Disneyland Resort Hotels. You can check availability for your preferred date and time
online and in the
Disneyland mobile app. My favorite choice is
Goofy's Kitchen at Disneyland Hotel, but you can't go wrong with any of the options. Dining Reservations are available to book on a 60-day rolling window.
If nothing is available for your preferred date or time, keep checking! People's plans change and as they cancel, reservations open up. Persistence can pay off, so check every day. If you still haven't secured reservations the day of your visit, you can try to "Join Walk-Up List" on the mobile app at some locations if it is available or you can talk to the Cast Member at the podium to see if there are any last-minute openings. You never know unless you try!
The same goes for
Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique in Fantasyland at Disneyland Park. This is a popular
Enchanting Extra, which is subject to fill up. But people do cancel, so if your preferred time slot isn't available now, it might open up between now and your visit. Or you can check at the door for last-minute availability. If the stars don't align, all is not lost: You can always bring your princess in costume to the parks and stage your own photo session using
Disney's PhotoPass Service available throughout the parks. A picture in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle would be a classic location, and you're sure to spot PhotoPass photographers nearby.
There are other Enchanted Extra options, which also spark imagination and are no less magical. Your princess might enjoy building her very own droid friend, for example, to accompany her throughout her galactic travels just like Princess Leia. I've had this immersive experience with my little ones and recommend it highly! You can build your very own droid at the
Droid Depot in Star Wars: Galaxy Edge in Disneyland Park with a reservation.
I hope this helps!
