On character breakfast, Do you have to wait to eat until after characters come out and everyone has visited with them? How much time should we allow for these character breakfast? Will we make it to park opening in time if res.is @8:00?

Hi Patricia! What great questions! I'm sure a lot people who have never been to a character meal are wondering the same thing! Mickey does not want your tummy growling while you're waiting to meet him -- you can and should eat while you're waiting for the characters to visit your table. At the character buffets (like Chef Mickey's), you'll be escorted to your table where you'll place your drink order and then you can visit the buffet. At table-service character meals (like Cinderella's Royal Table), you'll place your order and will usually receive your food quickly because of the limited menu selection. While guests are eating, the characters rotate through the restaurant visiting every table. Usually you'll see them at other nearby tables before they reach yours, so you'll have time to put down your fork and get your camera and autograph book ready.  In my experience, character meals last about an hour or so.  If your 8 a.m. character meal is inside the park and the park is scheduled to open at 9 a.m., you should finish up just as the park opens. If it's at a resort restaurant, you'll have to travel to a park after breakfast, so you'll likely arrive thirty minutes or so after park opening.
