    We would like to have a character breakfast or dinner with princesses. My daughter is afraid of characters with their faces covered when they are up close to her. Any suggestions?

    There are two types of characters: costumed characters and "face" characters. The costumed characters are Mickey, Pooh, Goofy, etc., basically the big fuzzy ones. Costumed characters do not speak. I have on a few occasions had a costumed character write a note to my daughters during a character meal, but they will NEVER speak to you. The face characters are the characters that do not have anything covering their head (other than a wig, tiara, or hat) and they will engage you in conversation. The face characters are the princesses, Peter Pan, Mary Poppins, Alice, Aladdin, and several others. Overall, the face characters look like real people and the costumed characters look like animals or other creatures. (Though this is not always the case. For example, Tweedle Dum and Tweedle Dee are costume characters that mostly look like people.)

    I get the impression that the costume characters are the ones that give your daughter trouble. If this is the case, i suggest you try the princess meals at either Cinderella's Royal Table or at the Storybook meal at the Akershus in the Norway pavilion at Epcot. In many, many visits to both these venues, I have only ever seen face characters at these meals. At all the other character meals, you are likely to encounter mostly costume characters.
