We have just changed our Easter stay to Thanksgiving. Hoping to catch the Candlelight Processional or Mickey’s Christmas Party. Are the dates for those posted before our 180 days so we can plan? Also, when does EPCOT storytelling start? Thanks!

ChEARs Mandy, and a Happy EARly Holidays to you!

Sometimes life throws a bit of a “stitch” in our plans. Like you, we changed our Spring Break trip to a 4th of July trip at Walt Disney World Resort. While the kiddos are a bit disappointed that they won’t be part of the inaugural crowd for Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, we are excited to celebrate our nation’s birthday at the Most Magical Place on EARth. I’ll let you in on a little secret - the holidays are the most wonderful time of the yEAR at the Resort, so you are in for a treat!

The date for EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays is usually announced in the Spring, so you should have plenty of time for your 180-day advanced dining reservations. Last yEAR, Disney Parks Blog announced the dates for the festival in April and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party around the same time. Historically, the holiday festival starts Thanksgiving weekend, and Mickey’s bash starts the first week in November. The Disney Parks Blog will be the first place to announce the merry gatherings, so make sure to keep an EAR out!

Mandy, you asked about the holiday storytellers. They are a delightful part of EPCOT’s International Festival of the Holidays and will start at the same time as the festival. They are scattered throughout the World Showcase and tell celebratory tales multiple times per day. We’ve enjoyed the story of The Three Kings in Mexico, and delighted in Father Christmas in the United Kingdom as well as Mr. & Mrs. Claus in the American Pavillion. All of our international holiday encounters made the festival even more magical!

I wish you much pixie dust with your planning. If you have any other questions, you know where to find us!
