Howdy, Tammy.
I'm always happy to lasso up an answer for a fellow Texan, so thanks for moseying on by planDisney! I see the countdown to your vacation has dipped below the two-month mark - yeehaw! Yer in fer a rootin'-tootin' good time!
Everything may be bigger in Texas, but everything is more magical when you're at
Walt Disney World Resort, especially when it comes to the
benefits of staying at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel. As part of the
50th Anniversary Celebration, Disney Resort Guests have access to
Early Theme Park Entry. What is this, you might ask? It means you will be able to enter the theme parks 30 minutes prior to the published
park opening time each day, which means you'll have even more time in the magic and fun! I encourage you to take advantage of this perk, because the wait times for attractions are often significantly lower during Early Theme Park Entry than they will be as the day goes on.
Another fantastic benefit of staying at a Disney Resort hotel is
the ability to charge purchases, like souvenirs and meals, to your Resort hotel room using only your
MagicBand. All you have to do to utilize this feature is set up a PIN code at the Front Desk when you check in. I could go on and on, but I'm sure you're wondering when I'm going to get to the end of my tangent rope and answer your question.
I spoke with the Front Desk at
Disney's Yacht Club Resort, and, unfortunately, they will not be able to transfer your luggage to Shades of Green during your split stay since Shades of Green is not a part of the
Disney Resorts Collection. I know that's an unexpected hitch in your giddy-up, but don't let that get you down. I suggest you saddle-up with a rideshare or taxi service to take your luggage over to Shades of Green yourself. The benefit of doing this is you won't have to wait hours for your bags to be transferred to your new home away from home, because they'll already be with you.
Tammy, don't forget to make your
Disney Park Pass reservations as soon as possible if you haven't done so already. You must have valid theme park admission and theme park reservations to be able to enter the theme parks each day, and I don't want you to miss out on a moment of the magic. Be sure to check out the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival while you're here. It's sure to be more fun than two-stepping to a country song!
Remember, we're
deep in the heart of Disney, so don't hesitate to boot-scoot by planDisney again if you have further questions.
You've got a friend in me,
Alyssa
