Change ticket from two days to one day

Hi Jan! Thank you for bringing your question to planDisney!

In just a few weeks you'll be "wheels up" and on your way to The Most Magical Place on Earth! I bet you and your party are looking forward to checking out new attractions like Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, revisiting some old favorites like Walt Disney's Carousel of Progress, and maybe even dining with some of your favorite princesses at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, which reopens for Guests on November 4, 2022!

I'm sorry to hear that your upcoming plans need to change, as I'm positive you would be able to fill both vacation days with magic at Walt Disney World Resort.  You will find that if you have already purchased your 2-day Theme Park Ticket you will not be able to change the Ticket from a 2-day Ticket to a 1-day Ticket and receive a refund.  Walt Disney World Resort Theme Park Tickets are nontransferable and nonrefundable, BUT Hakuna Matata (it means no worries!) I have some ideas to still make the most of that magical Ticket!

While you won't be able to exchange your 2-day Ticket in place of another, you do have a couple of options! First, as long as your current Ticket remains unused you will still retain the value of the Ticket even after its expiration date.  This means that you can purchase a new 1-day Theme Park Ticket for this visit and save the 2-day Theme Park Ticket for the next chance you get to visit the Parks!

Another option would be to reassign the Theme Park Ticket to another member of your party who is able to make full use of the 2-day Ticket.  Again, as long as your Theme Park Ticket is currently completely unused, you'll be able to change the name on the Ticket to anyone on your Family & Friends list in My Disney Experience.  To do this, simply open your My Disney Experience mobile app, click the three horizontal lines in the bottom right corner and then click "Tickets and Passes". You'll see "Reassign Ticket" underneath each current Theme Park Ticket attached to your account. Just choose who you would like to reassign the Theme Park Ticket to and then start fresh by purchasing a new 1-day Theme Park Ticket.

I hope one of these options helps you to make the most out of your magical day in the Theme Parks, Jan!

Meet the Panelist: Ashley, Massachusetts

Hi All, I'm Ashley! From the very beginning Walt Disney World Resort has always been a part of my life. As a child I excitedly helped to plan family trips, as a young adult I planned our "happily ever after" right on Disney property, and now I'm lucky enough to plan magical vacations for my three incredible children. When we're not taking in the enchanting experiences of the parks, we're home in Massachusetts, probably planning our next trip! Learn More About Ashley
