hi there Did they change the safety drill where you have to wear your life vest to your station? Back in 2013 When we did a cruise on the magic We did not have to wear them We booked a cruise on the fantasy for may 9, 2015 thanks for your help

Welcome back, Ricky! I was just onboard the Disney Magic last month and at that time, we were not required to wear our life vests to the muster drill on the first day, no. Of course, this is always subject to change, but I've not had to wear a life vest for the safety drills at all over the past few years on any of Disney's ships, so I don't expect that you'll have to next year. I would suggest, however that you take a few minutes in your stateroom to ensure that you have the proper amount and size of life vests that your family would need in the unlikely event of an emergency. Always better to check and feel good knowing that everything is in it's place.

That means that right when you're done with the drill, you can head up to the pool deck to get a great spot for the Adventures Away Party! No reason to stop back to the stateroom to drop off a life vest when you can get a jump start on the fun up on deck. I head right there after the safety drill not only to grab a great spot for the party, but also to nab my first vacation fruity drink! That's when vacation starts for me with Disney Cruise Line! When I have the Drink of the Day in my souvenir cup, I'm dancing with my family and Mickey and the gang come out on the stage to send us off to sea, that means we're officially on vacation time!

Have fun as you continue to plan your cruise, Ricky! Let me know if you come up with any other questions before you set sail!
