Can I change resorts 17 days out and still keep my dining reservations?

    Welcome to planDisney, Amy Louise!

I see that your trip to Walt Disney World is right around the corner, so finalizing your details is a great plan.

While a Disney Resort Hotel stay unlocks many perks for guests--including First-Access Benefits for WDW dining--your dining reservations will remain intact if you switch resorts. Your My Disney Experience account is the place to see all of those magical plans you've made. Everything from dining, to resort hotel reservations, theme park tickets, and so much more is linked to that account. Changing the place you'll call home while visiting will not cancel those other plans.

On occasion, we've switched resorts when a particular location becomes available that was not open when I first booked our stay. While most of our dining reservations remained exactly how I wanted them, I have decided to change a few if our new home-away-from-home offers interesting options nearby. For example, a move to Disney's BoardWalk Inn always has me thinking of breakfast at Trattoria al Forno (Sunrise Breakfast Pizza--yum!) and dinner at Flying Fish (Plancha-seared Scallops oh, my!) While we'd be happy to take a FriendShip Boat, Disney Skyliner, or even a Minnie Van to get to these, when they are just steps away from our room, both are a must-do.

Amy Louise, take a look at additional dining locations that are either in your new resort or perhaps at an adjacent property. You might be happy to keep most of what you've already booked, but you might also find a new favorite!

As you continue to craft your practically perfect in every way stay, Amy Louise, be sure to send additional questions our way. We love to help!
