Hiya Evelyn!
Welcome to
planDisney, a group of Disney enthusiasts eager to help you experience the most magical vacation possible. How exciting for you to be planning a visit to
Disneyland Resort now that they have begun the phased reopening process, and it would be my pleasure to help answer your question about changing
theme park reservations.
Disneyland Park and
Disney California Adventure Park are reopening with significantly limited capacity to comply with governmental requirements and promote physical distancing. All Guests will be required to obtain a theme park reservation through the
new theme park reservation system in advance. At this time, only California residents may visit the parks, and proof of residency may be required.
It sounds like you have already secured a theme park ticket and
theme park reservations, but you would like to change that reservation to a different date. There are a few things you will want to ensure before canceling your existing park reservations. The first thing you will want to ensure is that your theme park tickets are valid for theme park entry on the new dates you plan to visit.
Theme park tickets may be used on different dates, depending on the type of ticket purchased, seasonal, or tier. You will want to ensure that the new dates you plan to reserve are available for your particular ticket type. You can see a list of theme park ticket types and blockout dates on the
Help with Tickets – Frequently Asked Questions page. If the ticket you purchased does not allow park entry on the date you are seeking, you will first need to modify, upgrade, or change your theme park ticket to match the date you want a theme park reservation. You may be able to make the necessary changes to your theme park ticket in your Disney account. You can also
reach out to a Cast Member for further assistance by calling (714) 781-4636.
I highly recommend that you check the
Theme Park Availability calendar to see if theme park reservations are available on the new dates you plan to visit before canceling your existing reservations or modifying your ticket type.
Theme park reservations are available around 60 days in advance. If the date(s) you plan to visit the park(s) extend beyond 60 days, you will need to cancel your existing theme park reservations and wait for the new dates to become available.
I hope this helps you to change your theme park reservations and that you have a magical time visiting
The Happiest Place on Earth! Remember, you’ve got a friend is here at
planDisney, so stop back by any time we can help answer your vacation questions.
