Hi there, Jessica! Welcome to planDisney!
I'm so happy to hear that you're planning to visit
The Most Magical Place on Earth! But what happens when your plans take a not-so-magical turn? We've all had experiences where our plans have changed and I'll be more than happy to help you do the "next right thing," as my pal Anna says!
The
options to modify your plans truly depend on how you booked your vacation. If you booked a Walt Disney World Resort vacation package online, including a
Disney Resorts Collection hotel and
Theme Park Tickets, you will be able to modify your reservation online with no penalty up to 30 days prior to your arrival date.
If you're within that 30-day window, you may still be able to change your dates subject to a $50 change fee (at the time of this writing). Since the price of your Disney Resort hotel may not stay exactly the same for your new dates, you'll also be responsible for paying for any increase in price.
Jessica, since it looks like your arrival date is just around the corner, I think your next best step would be to
call a Cast Member. A Cast Member will be more than happy to understand your situation and provide the best possible solutions for you! A little like real-life fairy godparents, they'll be able to stretch their magic wands for you as far as they can reach. If you do decide to call a Cast Member, I'd try calling right when phone lines open at 7:00 AM EST since their magic can sometimes be in high demand.
I'm wishing you all the faith, trust, and pixie dust as you reschedule your trip for a time that will work best for you! Just know that whenever you decide to return to Walt Disney World Resort, the magic will be ready and waiting for you. Until then, Olaf and I would like to send you "warm hugs!"
There's a great, big, beautiful tomorrow!
Michelle
