Lanie,
Thanks for asking your question to planDisney!
If you change your
Theme Park Reservation from one park to another, you do not have to do anything with your tickets.
Think of it this way. Imagine you are going out for dinner. The theme park ticket is what you use to pay for your meal. The theme park reservation is just like you having a reservation to get into the restaurant in the first place. If you change your theme park reservation, it is like you decided to go to a different restaurant, but you still pay for the meal at the new restaurant the same way.
So, if you planned on using one of your theme park tickets on a specific date, but you decided you wanted to go to Disney's Hollywood Studios instead of EPCOT, the ticket gets used the same way. It is just the reservation you would have to change.
Does that help? Now remember, I always recommend that before you try to switch your theme park reservations, you should check the
availability calendar first, to be sure that the park you want to change to has available spots.
BONUS TIPThe steps for changing theme park reservations have recently been simplified. What you will want to do is go to your
My Disney Experience account and select
"My Plans". You can find this at the top right of the Walt Disney World website menu. Find the reservation that you want to change and click on
"Manage Reservation". On the next page, you will want to click on
"Modify Reservation", then select all the guests for whom you wish to change. You can change just your own reservation, or that of multiple guests. After that, select the date, and then pick the park you want to switch to. This should move you to your new selection!
