Is there any change on opening the parks to out of State residences?

Hello there, Chasity! Welcome to planDisney! Thank you so much for taking the time to reach out and asking your wonderful Disneyland Resort vacation question!

Disneyland is finally reopening and inviting Guests back to return to all of the magic they know and love! At this time, Disneyland is reopening on a phased plan and there have been some changes to keep in mind when planning future visits. Guests can look forward to such changes as enhanced cleaning procedures across the property, temporary adjustments to promote physical distancing, and modified experiences to reduce contact. Guests ages two and older will also be required to wear face coverings throughout their visit.

Currently, Guests may visit Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, Downtown Disney District, and Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. At this time, only California residents may visit the theme parks and must be in groups no larger than three households according to state guidelines. While these limitations are currently in place, they will likely change at some point in the future! There is not a current timeline for when out-of-state Guests will be allowed to visit the theme parks but you can stay up-to-date with any changes by following the Disney Parks Blog website! This is the best spot for all breaking news regarding all of the Disney properties!

My family and I are also so excited for the time when we will be able to visit Disneyland Resort! To satisfy our excitement, we have continued to make plans for our future days in the theme parks including which attractions we would like to experience and our top dining locations to eat at. I highly recommend this strategy when you need to scratch your own planning itch!

Hopefully, you will be able to visit Disneyland Resort in the future and have an absolutely magical visit! Please let us know if we can answer any other questions along the way!
