The great news is that most Guests never need to make any adjustments before arrival. Even though a name appears on the ticket when it is purchased, the
ticket does not become officially tied to a Guest until it is scanned at the entrance to Disneyland or Disney California Adventure. At that moment, a Cast Member takes a quick photo of the Guest using the ticket, and that photo becomes the true identifier for the remainder of the visit. This means that if the name printed on the ticket doesn’t match the person who ultimately uses it, the ticket will still function perfectly as soon as it is scanned.
If you would still prefer to update the name for your own peace of mind, the Guest who originally purchased the ticket can reach out to Disneyland Ticket Services. You can call the
Tickets line, or open the
Disneyland app and use the chat feature to connect with a Cast Member. They can look up your purchase and let you know whether the name can be updated.
Since we are talking about the Disneyland App, Jucy, I always recommend downloading the Disneyland app before your trip if you haven’t done so already. It keeps your tickets easily accessible and offers a whole suite of helpful tools during your visit. You can check attraction wait times, browse entertainment schedules, and place mobile food orders. By tapping the “Entertainment” tab in the app, you’ll see performance times for parades, shows, and nighttime spectaculars.
Another feature worth exploring is the “Characters” tab. It shows who is meeting Guests around the resort and where you can find them. A little Q-Tip for your visit: Main Street. is one of the best places to start your morning if meeting Disney friends is high on your list. Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Goofy often appear there. Also, keep your eye out because you may even catch a royal greeting as you head toward Sleeping Beauty Castle.
