Hi Nylah! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
It depends on what type of reservation we're talking about. I'll run through some of the options, and hopefully, we'll figure it out together!
If you have an
admission ticket and theme park reservation with the wrong name of a Guest attached, so long as it isn't a ticket that requires a government-issued ID, the name doesn't matter. When a Guest using a standard admission ticket scans into the park, they'll have a quick picture taken by a friendly Cast Member. That picture will identify the Guest as the ticket holder going forward. No correct name is needed. However, if it is a ticket that requires ID, like the
SoCal Ticket Offer, this adjustment will need to be made over the phone. You can call the
Tickets phone line to speak with a Cast Member, who should be able to make the changes for you.
With a
dining reservation, you can't change the name on the reservation. You can cancel and try to book a new dining reservation, but you risk losing your reservation altogether as openings are often grabbed quickly. To keep the original dining reservation, you'd have to check in to your reservation using the name on the dining reservation. The original Guest won't be charged unless you don't show up, and when you pay for your meal, you can use a different method of payment than the one that was given to hold the reservation online. Check your dining location's terms for cancelations. They differ from one spot to another.
If you have a reservation with one of the
Disneyland Resort Hotels, the name of the lead Guest must be correct. A Cast Member will ask for identification as you check in, so it's an important detail. You'll want to
call the Hotel Reservations line or the Vacation Packages line to speak with a Cast Member about changing the name on the reservation. If you're staying with a
Good Neighbor Hotel, please call to make those adjustments as well before your arrival.
Your trip is right around the corner, so I hope this is the help you need and you're already dreaming of all the fun you'll have!
Have a magical day.
