Hey there, Angelica! Welcome to planDisney.
As a mom of two Mouseketeers under the age of 13, I manage multiple My Disney Experience accounts. When my kiddos want to change their profile picture from Elsa to Maleficent, they have to go through me, and my tween daughter is OVER it. She cannot wait to get her own account to manage!
If you are under the age of 13, or if your
My Disney Experience account was set up when you were under 13 and managed by a parent or guardian, this explains why you’re not able to manage your own profile. If this is the case, you will need to delete the old account and create a new account for yourself so you can manage your own plans. However, please do
not do this if you have existing plans, as it may cancel them.
Samantha explains how it all works in this helpful answer.
If your current account was not set up and managed by someone else previously, and you’re just experiencing issues with your account, it sounds like
something is not set up correctly in your profile.
My best advice is to
call the My Disney Experience support Cast Members at (407) 939-4357. Please note that if you are under 18, you must have a parent's permission to call. I have had to call them lots of times, and they’re always really helpful. You can explain your situation and they will be able to figure out the best solution so you can be in charge of making your plans. As Elsa sings in Frozen 2, you want to “step into your power” as the manager of your own Walt Disney World Resort plans, and these Cast Members will get you there, and without all the obstacles Elsa endured.
I’m sending pixie-dusted wishes that the Cast Member you speak with gets it resolved with a quick “bibbidi bobbidi boo” and you’ll be on your way to making plans and dreaming big about your magical visit. When you do begin to make those plans, we’re here to help if you have any further questions.
Have a great big beautiful tomorrow!
