Hi there, Linda!
Welcome to planDisney! And thanks so much for stopping by with a question for us.
Both
Disneyland Resort in California and
Walt Disney World Resort in Florida are extraordinary and unique in their own ways, and I completely understand why you would like to visit either (or both)!
Linda, because Disneyland Resort in California uses a different ticketing system, you would not be able to use your theme park ticket from Walt Disney World Resort at Disneyland Resort. However, if you would rather purchase a new ticket to Disneyland Resort, please be sure to check for
theme park reservation availability before doing so.
Theme Park reservations and tickets are also required to enter the theme parks at Disneyland Resort.
Rest assured, your wholly unused Walt Disney World Resort tickets hold their monetary value indefinitely, so you can apply the value of that ticket towards the purchase of a new ticket at Walt Disney World Resort when you’re ready to come to visit the parks in Florida! Be sure to hold on to the confirmation number or physical ticket, as you will need it when applying its value to a future ticket. Please note, if there is a price increase in the tickets, you would have to pay the difference.
We can’t wait to welcome you to the magic, Linda!
Have an enchanting time.
Aena
