Welcome to planDisney, Anastasia. I'm so happy to answer your holly, jolly question today!
The holiday season at the
Walt Disney World Resort is like no other place I know. How could it be? It's the Most Magical Place on Earth! You step into one of the parks,
especially Magic Kingdom Park, and you just feel the holiday spirit in the air. As a matter of fact, you feel it once you step inside of your
Disney Resorts Collection Hotel. The decorations, the music, the specialty treats for sale, and everything in between make everything feel merry and bright. And since I'm very food-motivated, I just
have to share the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide to Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort. My mouth is watering just looking at those pictures and reading those descriptions!
There are various characters that you can meet, interact with, and take pictures with at both after-hours events at the resort this year,
Disney Jollywood Nights at
Disney's Hollywood Studios and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom Park. While characters are subject to change, you usually can find the ones that are available to meet in the handy
My Disney Experience mobile app. You can also get an idea of who might be meeting and greeting by checking out the planDisney Guides to
Disney Jollywood Nights and
Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party!
While these after-hours parties are the crowning jewels of the holiday season at the resort, don't forget that you can visit some of the hotels and enjoy their gingerbread displays. While you will only be able to park at a hotel if you are staying there or have an
advanced dining reservation at one of its restaurants, you can usually take the monorail to
Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa for their classic Gingerbread House or the
Disney Skyliner to the International Gateway entrance of
EPCOT and then walk to
Disney's Beach Club Resort to see their stunning Gingerbread Carousel. Check out the
Disney Eats Foodie Guide to Festive Gingerbread Houses & Displays for more details!
Anastasia, I hope you have a wonderful visit to the resort and it fills you with joy and good cheer to last you the whole year through! If you have any other questions,
please feel free to reach out directly to me.
Hope is the greatest of the gifts we'll receive,
Matt
