Hi! Is there a certain room location you advise to request at wilderness lodge (standard room)? Also, is this a good hotel for a 7 and 1 year old?! We've done CBR and CS before...excited about being closer to MK!!

Hi, Laura!  If you request North Wing, you are likely to be closer to some of the amenities in the main part of the building.  I also like to request a higher floor, but that's more of a personal thing.  I always figure if there's any chance of seeing anything cool, I'll have a better view from higher up!

Wilderness Lodge is one of my favorite resorts, and it's a great location for children.  If it's important to be close to the Magic Kingdom, have you looked into one of the monorail resorts?  The Contemporary is right in the center of the action, with the monorail going right through the center.  It is walking distance to the Magic Kingdom, and the very kid friendly Chef Mickey's is right there.

Another great hotel for kids is Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It won't get you closer to the Magic Kingdom, but you will have views from some of the rooms and throughout the resort of the animals on the savanna.  It's really cool to wake up and walk down to see a giraffe having breakfast!

I hope your vacation is absolutely awesome!
