Are certain rides and attractions limited by one's size and weight (over weight)?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, David!

While you’ll find some height restrictions for attractions at Walt Disney World Resort, I can’t think of any attraction with a weight limit. My fellow Panelist Anna answered a question about this last year, and I agree with her assessment. There may be some attractions where a being overweight or exceptionally tall may make the ride uncomfortable, but many of those attractions have “test seats” that you can try out before boarding the attraction. (Two attractions that might be a tight fit or uncomfortable for someone who is overweight or has exceptionally long legs are Space Mountain and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at Magic Kingdom Park. My husband is just over 6 feet tall and he has to fold his long legs into those ride vehicles!)

If you have questions or concerns about a particular attraction, I would encourage you to talk to a Cast Member working at that attraction. They might be better equipped to give you some insight about whether or not the experience might prove to be uncomfortable for you.

I hope you have a fantastic visit to The Most Magical Place on Earth, David! Please let us know if there are any additional questions we can answer for you as you plan your vacation.

Meet the Panelist: Amy, South Carolina

Hiya, pals! I'm Amy from South Carolina. I'm married to my Disney-loving best friend, and together we've raised two princes and a princess. Whether I'm teaching my high school journalism students, planning Disney Bounding outfits with my daughter, or researching which new adventures we'll encounter on our next Walt Disney World Resort vacation, I find a way to incorporate a little Disney magic into everything I do. I look forward to helping you discover the magic, too!  Learn More About Amy
