Hi Philip,
Welcome to planDisney!
Well this is an interesting question. While ceramic plates are not currently specifically mentioned on the
Walt Disney World Property Rules list of prohibited items, I would not suggest that you bring it. If you do try, be prepared to have another alternative for those autographs because the property rules state,
We reserve the right to prohibit the use or storage of any other item not listed above that we determine may be harmful or disruptive, in our sole and absolute discretion. So the fate of your plate may be determined at a security check-point.
Let's keep thinking! Perhaps there is another, creative way to get those autographs that would not take risking a plate that may hold sentimental value. Check out this past
answer from another panelist that might give you some ideas, keeping in mind that characters do their best to sign, but they physically may not be able to sign some items. I do hope you have also strategized how you will get these character autographs. My family enjoys character dining experiences as a way to get character autographs. We also make
advanced dining reservations within our
advanced dining booking window. When our girls were younger, we brought autograph books for them to get signed and they loved it!
Philip, in the spirit of Tiana, I am sending a wish to the Evening Star trusting that you will get precious signatures from your favorite characters!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
