Hi, Sarah! This is a thing you have to determine for your own kids, but I'll give you some information about the
Celebration at the Top so you can make a decision right for your kids.
Billed as "Savor, Sip, and Sparkle," this feast for the senses takes place at
the California Grill at
Disney's Contemporary Resort. On weekend evenings, the event is timed so that it leads up to the stunning fireworks at the Magic Kingdom - and the view from the observation deck is spectacular.
The cost is $99 per person. Your 2-year old won't be charged for the event, as the cost applies only to guests three and older.
Beverages include beer, some of California's most fantastic wines, and cordials, but the children can get non-alcoholic beverages as well.
The menu is inspired by the food at the California Grill. You will likely find a variety of sushi options, some of the delicious flatbreads, and a lobster roll. After the fireworks, they wheel out dessert carts, and your options there may include miniature varieties of fruit tart, hazelnut crunch cake, creme brulee, and other sweet indulgences.
Would I take my girls? Well, even at their current ages (12, 16, and 26), the food would be hit or miss with them. And after a full day at the park, there's no way I could expect at least one of them (I'm looking at you, my 12 year old) to want to put on nicer clothes and go to a "fancy" place. My other two, even when they were your kids' ages, would have loved it.
There is an observation deck at the Contemporary that guests can use without this special event. Just an option to consider.
Have a wonderful visit!
