    We will be celebrating my son's 8th birthday and would like to surprise him with either a special meet & greet or dining experience. He is a huge Star Wars fan...any possiblilty he could meet Darth Vader? We will not be there during Star Wars weekend

    Hi Kelly, I understand your son's love of Star Wars! I have a few Star Wars fans in my family as well! Unfortunately, Darth Vader is not always available at Hollywood Studios as he is sometimes stirring up trouble on the Dark Side! There are not really any Star Wars dining experiences or special meet and greets available except on Star Wars weekends. The good news is that there is a really cool Star Wars:Jedi Training Academy offered at Hollywood Studios every day of the week.This is a really cool experience where your son can become a junior Jedi Knight! Many sessions are offered throughout the day so I would suggest picking up a park map and times guide as you enter the park for the most up to date show times.Your son must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to participate and be able to respond appropriately to safety screening questions. My advice would be to line up at Sounds Dangerous at park opening to register for one of the shows.They usually register 15 Padawan participants for each Jedi Training Academy.Your son will also love experiencing the Star Tours attraction! You can pick up a birthday button for your son to wear when you arrive at your Disney resort or at Guest Relations outside or inside the park. We did this for my son and cast members and other guests made a big deal out of giving him Birthday wishes all day! If you will be staying on Disney property, please let them add to your reservation that you will be celebrating your son's birthday. You can also arrange to have a Birthday wake up call for your son and birthday cakes are available to purchase.To have a birthday wake up call or to pre-order a birthday cake, call (407)827-2253.
