I will be celebrating my son's 1st birthday and i want to reserve a special time with some characters to sing and cut the cake with him, is that possible to reserve? What other activities can a 1yr old do at the theme parks and which park is more recommend

    Hi Suleima,

Happy First Birthday to your son! I hope he has a magical birthday at the Walt Disney World Resorts.

You can order a cake from the Disney Cake Hotline at 407-827-CAKE. This team delivers cakes to select Disney restaurants.

As for characters singing at the time the cake is delivered, that I am not sure if this is possible and believe it would depend on the individual restaurant. Once you decide on the restaurant, you can reach out to them and ask how they present the cake. You will have time with all the characters in the restaurant as they move through the restaurant greeting the guests. There is plenty of time to take pictures and celebrate.

As for activities your son can do, unless there is a height restriction on an attraction, he is free to do anything you want to do. While some rides are dark, you would know if Pirates of the Caribbean or Haunted Mansion is fine for him or not. I would avoid Stitch's Great Escape because it is scary for most kids and adults.

I think all the parks work for young children. My kids went to the all the parks when they were little. Magic Kingdom has lots of activities and it is where it all started. However, Epcot has space to walk through countries and Living Seas the kids love. Disney's Hollywood Studios has Disney Junior-Live on Stage and Animal Kingdom is a wonderful way to see animals.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
