We’re celebrating my son’s birthday during our cruise. He will turn 3. Any tips on making it extra special for him?

    Ahoy Maria!
It is wonderful to hear from you! I was lucky enough to celebrate my last birthday at sea, and it was definitely a magical experience!  My first recommendation is to have a look at the Celebration Package in the Gifts and Amenities Section of the Disney Cruise Line website.  This fun package includes festive in-room decorations and a "Happy Birthday" door magnet that will delight your son every time you enter your stateroom!  Also, you will find gifts that can be delivered right to your stateroom such as a Captain Mickey plush which will be a great souvenir for your son to remember his birthday cruise.  Birthday cakes can be ordered at least seven days prior to sailing and will be delivered to your stateroom or to your dining table.  When you meet your dining servers on the first evening, double check his birthday is noted on your cruise reservation because if you don't end up ordering the cake, a special dessert will be presented to your little sailor while the servers sing "Happy Birthday."
I also recommend picking up a birthday button from Guest Services (Deck Three) upon boarding. Make sure your son wears this for the entire sailing so the crew, characters and other Guests can celebrate along with him!
I hope my suggestions help make number three very memorable for your son.  If you have any other questions, please let me know!  I'm always happy to help!
Best wishes for a magical birthday for your son!
