My first recommendation is to plan a day at
EPCOT. This park has something for everyone, and it's become a favorite spot for my husband and me. Attractions like Soarin' Across America, Living with the Land, and Spaceship Earth are family-friendly classics. And if you have some thrill-seekers in the group, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind and Test Track will satisfy their need for speed.
But the true star of this park is the World Showcase. Family members can meander for drinks and bites from around the globe. You can shop at each country's pavilion while learning about different cultures. Enjoy an indoor "night" market in Mexico, grab some sushi in Japan, and watch Canada Far and Wide to feel like you're really there.
EPCOT is amazing, but it's also large. You might consider
renting Electronic Conveyance Vehicles (ECVs) for your folks so they can focus on the experience rather than on their tired feet! My mother-in-law used one on a recent visit, and you'd think she was the grand marshal of a parade on that thing. ECVs are available at all four theme parks and Disney Springs, so the world will be their oyster!
Speaking of Disney Springs, my friends and I recently soared above the clouds there on
Aerophile. For a memorable, romantic experience, I don't think your parents could top this ride. A bonus tip is to send the lovebirds up at sunset for a special way to end their celebration. Reservations aren't required, and the balloon is occasionally grounded due to weather. But I'm throwing rose petals and pixie dust your way for a practically perfect experience.
You can book dining 60 days in advance, so
look over the offerings and choose some spots your crew will enjoy. I recommend a
character meal, and let each character know about the big anniversary. Mickey himself might offer his congratulations. And don't forget to pick up complimentary
Celebration Buttons from Guest Relations for the whole family to wear.
