Hi, Rick! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
Disney’s Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort sounds like a fantastic graduation celebration! I’ve attended the Show for birthday and Christmas celebrations, and each time the cast has invited anyone celebrating a special occasion to come down to the dance floor and be recognized. I would definitely think a graduation would qualify! Your son and his girlfriend might be able to enjoy a special dance with other celebrants before your Hawaiian feast begins.
And what a feast it will be! From the ginger-lime dressing on the salad to the pineapple-coconut guava cake for dessert and all of the sumptuous fare between those courses, you’ll definitely have your fill of deliciousness. In addition to the amazing food, though, the Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show is one of my favorite live performances in all of the
Walt Disney World Resort property. I love catching the early show and watching the sunset as the stage lights and table lights set a soft glow all around the Luau Cove theater.
When you arrive at the Luau check-in desk in the main Lobby of the Great Ceremonial House at
Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, make sure you ask for “I’m Celebrating” buttons for your son and his girlfriend (and for you, too--after all, high school graduation is definitely a parent’s celebration as well) to proudly wear at dinner!
Enjoy your celebratory feast, and congratulations to your family on this special occasion.
