We are celebrating my daughters sweet 16 in July - I need some helpful tips to make it extra special.

    Hi Cheryl,
So glad to hear you're celebrating your daughter's Sweet 16 this summer-my birthday is in July also and I love spending my birthday at the Walt Disney World Resort.

Some of my favorite special treats involve fireworks and dessert! I have been to the Tomorrowland Terrace Fireworks Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom several times and absolutely love it! Unlimited treats, including cookies, chocolate covered strawberries and hot and cold drinks await you as you relax and eat for an hour prior to the fireworks show, then you have a great view of Cinderella's Castle and Wishes Nighttime Spectacular from Tomorrowland Terrace. Prepaid reservations can be made up to 180 days in advance, so mark your calendar and call or go online once the reservation window opens.

If Epcot is more your style, the IllumiNations Sparkling Dessert Party may be just what you're looking for to help you celebrate. Delicious desserts from around the world coupled with an assortment of beverages-including sparkling wine-are sure to please everyone.

If the idea of taking a little ride on a boat excites you, how about one of Disney's Specialty Cruises? They will personalize the trip for your occasion-just mention that you're celebrating her birthday when booking.

Cheryl, I hope this helps you and your family plan the perfect celebration for your daughter's birthday! Come back and see us if you have any more questions.

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.
