Bonjour, Vanessa, and welcome to planDisney! Tie a napkin ‘round your neck, cherie, because there’s no topic I like more than food. And festival food is tres delicious! I think your plan to visit
Walt Disney World Resort for your daughter’s birthday is perfect, and the
EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival will provide a fabulous backdrop. And vegetarian options are right up my alley, so let’s dig in!
On my recent trip, I picked up a Festival Passport so I could try the
Garden Graze food stroll. This activity offers a list of ten plant-based items you can find throughout the World Showcase, and once you’ve ordered an item, you’ll get a stamp in your booklet. After receiving five stamps, you get a complimentary sweet treat in a fun keepsake cup! TIP: If you and your daughter each complete the Garden Graze challenge, you could try every item on the list!
One of my favorite Garden Graze items was the Impossible Lumpia. These reminded me of taquitos with their crunchy wraps and perfectly seasoned Impossible beef. And if you don’t mind a little mess, the Grilled Street Corn was tasty and fun to munch. Next, my panelist pal
LeAndra ordered the Boneless Impossible Korean Short Rib and let me have a taste. We agreed it was yummy and more than enough to share. Finally, the one dish that was a surprise standout was the Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning. Sometimes the simplest dishes are the most refreshing!
My final suggestion is to sign up for the complimentary tour of the English Garden at
The Tea Caddy in the UK Pavilion if it's available when you visit. This 20-minute tour strolls you through the blooming gardens, where you’ll learn about tea and the secrets to brewing a perfect cuppa. This would be a magical memory for you and your daughter to create for her special day. I’m sure Mrs. Potts would approve!
Vanessa, like Lumiere, I only live to serve, so I hope I’ve given you some ideas for a magical visit. Reliving the food stroll makes me want to join you! Please
stop by planDisney anytime!
Magic awaits,
Elaine
