We will be celebrating my daughters fifth birthday on 01/06/2015 I was hoping to do the Cinderella's castle experience (birthday dinner) but noticed it will be closed for maintenance. What would be the next best thing you would recommend? Thanks!

Hi Bridge!  Your daughter is going to have an amazing fifth birthday celebration at Walt Disney World.   I can't think of a more magical place to celebrate her big day.   Make sure you pick up a birthday button from any Guest Service location on Disney property.  It's sure to get her many well wishes and possibly a few pixie-dusted surprises during your stay.

Cinderella's Royal Table will be undergoing a refurbishment early in 2015.  But don't worry I have a couple of other options to help make your daughter's birthday bash extra special.    My first recommendation is Cinderella's Happily Ever After Dinner at 1900 Park Fare located inside of Disney's Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.  During this meal you would be the honored guests of Prince Charming and Cinderella.   Other fun fairytale favorites stop by,  and they are such a hoot.   Just make sure to have a camera, or better yet video ready to capture the interaction.

My second option for you would be Akershus Royal Banquet Hall located inside of Epcot's World Showcase. This royal banquet is full of delightful charm.  Your favorite Disney Princesses mix and mingle throughout the meal signing autographs and posing for photos.   On my last visit, we were greeted by Snow White, Belle, Aurora, and Ariel.   My daughter even got to join in a Princess Procession that paraded throughout the restaurant.   I know your family would really enjoy celebrating at this magical Disney Dining establishment.

I hope your princess has a terrific birthday at the Most Magical Place on Earth.
