Hi, Becky! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.
I have to say, you definitely can't go wrong with either option for your daughter's birthday dinner at Walt Disney World Resort. While I have had the pleasure of attending a
Frozen Ever After Dessert Party at Epcot World Showcase, I have not experienced dinner at the restaurants that surround the World Showcase Lagoon. With the new
IllumiNations Dining Package, though, that might be a great option for you to consider. And with IllumiNations' final performance scheduled for the end of summer 2019, this limited-time offer becomes even more special.
My daughter turns 10 this year, too, and she and I have both celebrated our birthdays at
Disney's Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show. The show itself is absolutely phenomenal (especially the Fire Dancing), and the all-you-can-eat feast is mouth-wateringly delicious. (They can even cater to special dietary requests by preparing vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free fare.) One of the most fun parts of the evening is when they invite anyone who is celebrating a birthday to join in the fun by learning a special dance! For extra magic, I'd recommend booking the earlier Dinner Show and then hanging out on Disney's Polynesian Village Resort's beach to watch the Electrical Water Pageant followed by Magic Kingdom Park's Happily Ever After fireworks display.
Whichever experience you choose, I know your daughter will have a magical birthday celebration at Walt Disney World Resort. Oh, and make sure she gets her complimentary "Happy Birthday" button, too! Just ask any Cast Member where you can pick one up.
