If we are celebrating an anniversary in addition to our first disney trip and staying at a resort, can we tell them at check-in? Do disney resorts do anything special for these types of celebrations?

    Hi Jennifer,
I encourage everyone to share the special occasions they are celebrating while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort. While there are no specific protocols for things that they do (aside from offering you special buttons you can wear during your visit to announce your celebrations), you never know what sort of magical moments might happen during your visit. Tell your waitstaff while at dinner, tell your hotel upon check in, wear your special buttons...you could be the recipient of a random act of magic while visiting the Walt Disney World Resort!

Happy anniversary and I hope you enjoy your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation!!

    Best Wishes,
    Amy B.

I’ve grown up in Central Florida and have been visiting Disney Parks for over 30 years. Now that I’m a mom myself of a blended family with four kids, I love sharing Disney’s year-round special events with my family. Some of our favorite events are the Flower and Garden Festival, Epcot's International Food and Wine Festival and Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party.
