My DH and I will be celebrating an anniv. the week before we're there and my daughter, a birthday, 2 weeks after we've left. I'd like to pick up the corresponding buttons but was wondering if that was inappropriate seeing how it's before/after our trip.

Hi, Dawn!  I always like to tell people that if you're celebrating something special, Walt Disney World is celebrating something, too!  It's not uncommon at all for people to visit near a special event, and celebrate when they arrive.  Even in real life, schedules sometimes prevent us from having a birthday party or anniversary dinner on the day of the actual event, so it has to be put off until we can celebrate.  Go on - get your party on!

Don't forget to note on your dining reservations that you'll be celebrating your special occasions.  You never know when a little bit of pixie dust might be sprinkled!

    Have a wonderful time!
