How can I celebrate my birthday at WDW? All of the advise I can find is for the little kids. What about the really big ones?

The basic premise for celebrating a birthday at WDW is the same no matter how old the birthday boy or girl is. Disney is very happy to have adult guests plan to spend their birthdays at WDW as well as children.

So, the first step is to get a "Today is My Birthday" button. These are free and available at the park guest relations offices as well as at many of the ticket windows and resort concierge desks. Cast members and other guests are sure to give you an extra smile on your special day. You should also tell the front desk of your hotel and the servers at any table service restaurants that it's your special day. While this is not guaranteed, often letting cast members know about your birthday will result in a balloon being left in your room or a free cupcake.

Beyond that, how you choose to celebrate is really up to you, just as it would be up to the parent of a birthday child. Do you like gourmet food? Then book a special dinner at one of the signature dining restaurants at the resorts. (My favorite is Artist Point in the Wilderness Lodge.) If you're a glamor gal, then reserve a special day of spa treatments at the Spa at the Saratoga Springs resort. If you're a chocoholic, make a plan to taste a dessert at every country in the World Showcase at Epcot. You can do whatever you want to make your day exactly what you want it to be.

Hope you have a great trip!
