On CC, if we stay on the Tram to set ourselves up right on the sand at Pelican's Plunge (ADHD Child), will there be towels available there, or are they only at the 1st Tram stop. If not, will the driver wait for us to hop off, get towels and hop back on???

    Ahoy, Mary!

When you disembark your Disney Cruise Line ship at Castaway Cay, there will be a few large "cages" that contain clean towels immediately outside on the dock. There are also usually some Cast Members handing them out. It is a good idea to get your towels for the day at this time, as it is never guaranteed that you will be able to find a towel elsewhere on Castaway Cay. Since there is a short walk to the first tram stop, you won't have to hop off the tram at all!

Our family always brings a large beach bag and loads it up with our towels, sunscreen, snorkel masks, and other beach essentials. This makes carrying those towels a little easier. There are boxes along the beach to put your dirty towels into once you are finished with them, so you won't have to carry wet, heavy towels back to the ship.

It is a great idea to take the tram all the way to the Pelican Plunge stop to find your own little slice of heaven on the beach. I have found that the furthest end of the Castaway Family Beach is the least crowded and easiest place to find a good set of beach chairs.

I hope you have a wonderfully relaxing day on Castaway Cay! This is definitely my favorite stop on any Disney Cruise Line vacation.

    Happy Cruising, Tracy V.
