CBR on dining plan. Just learned 9yo son can only eat off kids menus. Saw many & seem made for younger. Tried chnge him 2 adult dining so can eat nrml foods, was told need 2 chnge entire birthdate on resrv'n, make him adult(incl air). Seems odd, help!

    Hi Joe,

You are one of the few parents who want to upgrade their children because they have a savvy palate. You need to call back the travel agent that booked your vacation. The travel agent can then upgrade your son to an adult for both his park ticket as well as the dining plan. Your son would then be free to order off the adult menu for all of his meals.

However, he should not be listed as an adult on the airline portion of the your trip. As an airline employee myself, this would not be safe for him because he could be assigned to sit in an emergency row with his tickets and he cannot. With an adult listing on his tickets, a gate agent may juggle seats to accomodate other families and the agent would assume your son is an adult and move him to a seat he can not sit in. This will only cause more confusion at the gate. Plus this does not need to be adjusted on the airline listing.

    Wishing you a magical vacation!
