Ahoy, Mickey!
You must be so excited for your
Very Merrytime Cruise this weekend! Are your bags packed yet? I know the next few days may be a little hectic, but it will all be worth it when you cast off for some holiday fun on the high seas! And I promise you'll be in a festive mood when you set foot onboard your Disney ship as it will be decked out from stem to stern with the most dazzling holiday decor. Just wait until you see (and smell!) the magical life-size Gingerbread House in the Grand Lobby Atrium!
Mickey, you've asked a great question about the meaning of VGT. It actually stands for Verandah Guarantee and is a restricted, non-refundable fare offered occasionally by Disney Cruise Line. These fares are typically available at a lesser price, and the restrictions include payment in full at time of booking, no changes to the reservation once it's made and Disney Cruise Line will select your stateroom for you. Booking a VGT does mean that your stateroom will be in the Verandah category, but you may not find out your specific stateroom assignment until your cruise date is near (usually around 30 days, but can be just a few days prior to sailing). It's a great option to save a little money especially if you are flexible in where your stateroom is located on the ship.
I'm so glad you cruised over to "sea" us, Mickey! We hope you'll visit us again if we can answer any additional questions for you.
Have a MAGICAL day!
Nancy
