Hi Amy,
Welcome to planDisney! I’m glad you brought your Walt Disney World Resort question to us here, because
ev'rybody's pickin' up on that feline beat and now we are all singing our favorite “The Aristocats” tunes!
You are correct, there are
four Disney Resorts Collection hotels that are currently designated dog-friendly. Unfortunately for our feline friends, at this time, dogs are the only pets allowed. Other than service animals, dogs (and other pets) are not permitted in theme parks, water parks or common areas such as restaurants, pools and recreational spaces.
There is one cat-friendly option at Walt Disney World Resort that you might be interested in, Amy.
Everybody wants to be a cat at
Best Friends Pet Hotel because they offer 2-Level Condo and 4-Level Townhomes, Playtime, Cookies & Milk, Tuna on a Ritz and a Deluxe Kitty Bed exclusively for cats! Best Friends Pet Hotel offers day and overnight boarding. Because there are limited spaces available, I recommend you make a reservation. For more information, prices or to make reservations, call (407) 209-3126, or visit the Best Friends Pet Hotel website.
If you decide to leave your furry friend at home, here is a little tip for you, Amy! So your kitty won’t think you forgot about their sweet face while you were away, you will want to stop by
Disney Tails in the
Marketplace Co-Op at Disney Springs to pick up a feline-friendly souvenir!
Amy, did you know that you can meet one of my favorite feline Characters in Magic Kingdom Park? Head over to the
Thotful Spot in Fantasyland, where the wonderful, one and only Tigger will welcome you as only a tigger can!
I hope this information is helpful, Amy. Please stop back by any time if you have other questions. This is the
purrfect place for Disney Parks planning advice!
See you later, or as Tigger likes to say,
Ta ta for now!
Shannon
