Ahoy Laura!
Welcome aboard the Disney Parks Moms Panel. I am thrilled that you are planning a summer getaway to my favorite place to visit with Captain Mickey,
Castaway Cay!
One of the many great reasons to sail with Disney Cruise Line is their focus on guest safety and accessibility. Their private island is no exception. The island is accessible for all guests including those who may use a wheelchair or scooter. The walkways throughout the island are paved and are wide enough to accommodate all traffic. There is also a tram that connects key points on the island that is wheelchair and scooter accessible.
If you want to enjoy the sand, there are also multiple locations along the main path where you can stow your personal wheelchair and use a complementary sand wheelchair to experience the beach. There are also a couple of
Port Adventures on Castaway Cay that are
accessible but require a transfer.
For any information on accessibility or needs while onboard as you travel to Disney's private island, you can
contact the Special Services team who specialize in ensuring a magical getaway for you as you sail.
Cruise back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with any additional questions you have before you set sail next month. We love to help you make some magic!
"Sea" ya real soon! Angie
