Hello, Tresa! Thanks for coming to the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. Let's dive into some details about the
Epcot Seas Adventures Aqua Tour!
I was fortunate to be able to speak to a Cast Member who helps run the Aqua Tour, and he was kind enough to share some fun facts with me. He said the tour guides' qualifications run the gamut from ex-Marine Biologists to Divemasters and everything in between. If you have a Mouseketeer who is interested in pursuing a future career in Marine Biology, I'm confident this tour would be a perfect fit!
Participants meet at Guest Relations outside of
Epcot's park entrance, and they are escorted behind the scenes to the Living Seas pavilion. The 5.7-million-gallon saltwater aquarium is the second largest in the world, and the pavilion's 56 giant windows make for excellent spectator viewing. The first part of the tour includes information about the tank and Epcot's water system. Participants also get to see the kitchen area as they prep food for the fish. Then, guests spend approximately 40 minutes in the water. You'll be outfitted with fins and a wetsuit in addition to an easy-to-use scuba-assisted snorkel unit that will keep you afloat. Keep in mind that the experience is limited to guests who are ages eight and older, and a paying adult must accompany all guests who are under the age of 12. If you have any questions, call (407) 560-6360.
Tresa, I think a late lunch at the
Coral Reef Restaurant would be the perfect way to cap off this
splash-tastic experience (if you go, don't miss The Chocolate Wave dessert)! I hope you have a magical time!
