Hi Regina! Thanks for bringing your question to planDisney.
I can happily report that at this time, Disneyland Resort is not cashless. Feel free to pay with cash, as well as other convenient forms of payment such as credit, debit, and Disney Gift Cards throughout much of the parks. In fact, if you need to take out more cash during your visit, you'll find ATMs in the parks where you can do just that.
How do you find an ATM? Download the
Disneyland mobile app, which is the perfect tool for your park day; you'll use the app to scan into the parks, book Lightning Lane Entrances, and check wait times for all your favorite Attractions. Pull up the map located at the bottom of the app and change select at the top of the map screen from "Attractions" to "Guest Services." This will bring up lots of different icons on the map. The one that looks like cash with dollar signs coming out of a machine indicates where you can currently find an ATM for your convenience.
One of the really handy aspects of the app is the ability to order and pay for food and beverages before you've even arrived to select dining spots. I typically ask for my family's food choices while we're in a queue and quickly place our order. You choose a time to collect your meal and skip the line! You can't pay for these
mobile orders with cash, however, so I'd suggest saving a credit or debit card to your MyDisney account.
Alternatively, if you're using cash as a budgeting device, use a portion of your cash spending limit to buy a
Disney Gift Card. These digital gift cards can be used in the app and elsewhere throughout the resort. To pay with a Disney Gift Card in the app, simply type the number in during the transaction or save the number in the Notes app of your mobile device and copy and paste it into the app during checkout. These cards don't expire and can also be used to pay for admission tickets at Disneyland Resort, merchandise on shopDisney, Disneyland Resort Hotel stays, and more. Terms are subject to change.
Have a magical time!
Elizabeth
