Hey there, Joe! Great question!
Disneyland Resort accepts several payment methods while exploring the resort, including cash but also contactless forms of payment such as credit cards, gift cards, and more. Although cash is accepted, I often recommend that Guests choose contactless payment options.
One recommendation I can offer if you do wish to change to contactless payment is a
Disney Gift Card. In the past, I have loaded all the money I plan on spending onto a Disney Gift Card and use that like a credit card throughout the park. Some phones even allow you to store your Disney Gift Card onto a virtual wallet for easy scanning during purchasing.
Speaking of digital purchasing, one option available at several quick service dining locations is
Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering. You can store payment information on the Disneyland Mobile App and order food from your phone. Then, all you have to do is show up to grab your food when the restaurant alerts you that your meal is ready. I use Mobile Food & Beverage Ordering pretty much during every single visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. I absolutely love it!
Have a magical time, and if there is another question we can help you with, I hope you come back to planDisney!
Best wishes,
Lola
