What other "cash" expenses don't families typically think to budget for?

Hi, Joy!  Even if you are on a dining plan, which is already paid for, make sure you budget a little extra for extra drinks or snacks while you are wandering the parks.  I can't tell you how many times my husband heard the popcorn cart near the exit at the Magic Kingdom calling his name - even after a big dinner at Crystal Palace!

We always set a limit for souvenirs, but my kids for some reason think that things not sold inside the four walls of a store don't count as souvenirs.  As a result, we tend to go over with things like balloons.  There's also the money for the arcades, in the event we head back to the hotel a little early, or if we have time to kill before a dining reservation.

Allow a few dollars in case you forget incidentals, like sunscreen or for things like cold medicine or headache relief in the event someone comes down with something.  It also doesn't hurt to have a credit card with a few dollars on it in the event of an emergency that requires a visit to a walk-in clinic.  Some of them take insurance plans, but others have you pay and submit it yourself when you get home.

    Don't forget budgeting for gratuities!

I hope that covers most things you might encounter, and I hope your vacation is absolutely magical!
