    Can my carry-on day bag be one with wheels, or does it have to be a backpack?

    Ahoy!  Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Jaqueline!

    I am so excited that you will soon be sailing with Captain Mickey!  Your pirate crew must be ready to pack up their treasures and head to sea.  It is a great idea to pack a day bag and carry on your essentials - including your bathing suit and sunscreen so you can hit the pool!  This is always my strategy so I can start my vacation as soon as I hear my name announced when we board the ship.

    Each Guest is allowed two carry-on bags.  Your bags are allowed to have wheels.  If you have an early Port Arrival Time and are expecting that your room will not be ready when you first board, having a bag with wheels can make your time onboard easier without having to carry a handbag or backpack around.

    When you arrive at the Cruise Terminal, you go through a security screening that includes an x-ray of your luggage similar to security at the airport.  For this reason, your carry-on luggage should not exceed the standard carry-on luggage dimensions for most airlines (22" high, 14" long and 9" deep).  Be sure to review prior to your arrival as these terms are subject to change.
    If you find yourself waiting for your stateroom, grab a chair by the pool and head over to Eye Scream Treats for some complimentary soft serve ice cream.  The banana ice cream is my favorite and is always a great way to enjoy some time in the sun as you kick off your Disney Cruise!  Download the Disney Cruise Line Navigator App for Apple or Android before you board to find all the great treats and events on your sailing.
