Howdy Sam!
Welcome to planDisney. There’s a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow, and I’m happy to help you find it. Let’s help you learn more about this “Revolution”ary theatrical experience.
Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress is located in Tomorrowland between Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain. This classic attraction takes guests on a journey through the early 20th century to witness the marvels of technological evolution and its role in everyday life.
As you have heard from the
Disney Parks Blog, the Carousel of Progress will close on July 6th and reopen in 2027 to prepare for the next version of this ever-progressing attraction. My daughter and I absolutely love this ride, and we never miss it. I’ve read quite a few books about Walt Disney, and my personal opinion is that he would be thrilled to see the Imagineers updating it to show the continued progress of technology and how it has helped the American family. The final scene depicts a family living in the future and what they thought it might look like when it was created in the mid 60’s. I’m super excited to see what they think the future will hold when it reopens.
Sam, I hope that there is a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow where you get to ride this classic attraction before it is reimagined. Please stop by
planDisney anytime with your questions, and my fellow panelists and I will be happy to help.
See ya tomorrow,
Robert
